Ancient Greece

  • Had advanced army which would sometime station in mountains.
  • Established trade amongst different countries using the seas.
  • Greek soldiers could see invaders because Greece had been surrounded by water.
  • Farming was not easy due to little rain in summer and terrian
  • Without Greece's location trade could have been little to none to father countries.

The Ancient Greeks

  • Created Dominate Military Force.

WHY GREECE HAD BEEN A GREAT EXAMPLE

  • Without Greece's Geography The Greek People would not have invented so many things to adapt.
  • Armies would use the invention of catapults and defense mechanisms that the Greeks used to protect their own empires.
  • Greek's showed how important it was to travel in order for a successful economy.
  • Architecture had been very far advanced in order to build on the rugged island.
  • Greeks had to learn how to travel through mountains and other obstructions which would be used and advanced by other major civilizations.

Life Without Greek Adaptions

  • Many battle would have been lost.
  • Civilizations would have never been created.
  • Trade would not use the seas as much.
  • Precious items from Greece wouldn't exist.
  • Many Greek Empires would have been destroyed by invaders.

History and Geography Without Greece

Why History can't Work without Geography

  • No one would be able to know where the civilizations had grown.
  • Wouldn't know what soldiers had to battle through.
  • People would not know why people had lived in certain places and what the dangers were.

Greatest Example of Geographically involved People

  • Greeks
  • Made many inventions to shape their way of life.
  • Great Contributions to the people of different empires.
  • Vital to military development.

Ancient Greece

  • Built were life could be sustained.
  • Fantastic architects in building on mountains. and dangerous regions
  • Armies that knew how to navigate through all of Greece.
  • Weapons invented to protect incoming invaders.
  • Built places for troops to wait and successfully fend off invaders.

Benefits of Geography for Greek People

  • Had created a huge economy of trade with different countries.
  • Made precious items that were used for trade.
  • Received many great things from other countries.
  • Had great army because of advancements and location.
  • Never needed to build defense barriers.

Life without Greek Adaptions

  • Less technology in army.
  • Weaker trade in South.
  • Items lost from Greek Artisans
  • Long range weapons that required a few troops to use would have been never created.
  • Arithmetic would not have been advanced enough to build on mountains and very rugged land.

Without Geography in any History

  • No perspective of different battle fields.
  • No insight on how people had to live.
  • Without climate or weather ideas no one would know about historical weather.
  • No sight on what oceans and directions people had used.
  • Being unaware of nature's dangers that people lived with wether it was climate or flooding rivers.
