WHAT IS THE kUIPER BELT?

  • The Kuiper belt is the large asteroid belt, just beyond Neptune.

WHAT IS AN AStEROID BELT?

  • An asteroid belt is basically a giant circle/cylinder that surrounds specific planets.
  • An asteroid belt cuts through and separates Mercury, Venus, Earth, And Mars, from Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and neptune.

WHAT IS THE KUIPER BELT’S LAYOUT?

  • Since we already know what the Kuiper belt is, we need to know the layout.

SO HOW DOES IT WORK?

  • So basically, the Kuiper Belt orbits the sun. Rocks, ice, etc make up the Kuiper Belt, Which all circle the sun. As you probably know, 100,000 KBO’s have been discovered within the Kuiper belt.
