- At around the 19th century this city emerged and became a major port.
- In 1900 this city got hit by a terrible hurricane.

- "The sea wall" is a 8mi. Wall that protects Galveston from the bad winds.
- "The lone star flight museum" is a place to see historic airplanes and pictures.
