future cars

  • future cars are going to be able drive themselves and drones are going to be made. At the moment in the USA they are testing self driving cars. In 2050 our cars won't run by fossil fuels. At the minute we have maps and traffic delays come up on our cars screens but we will soon have avoidance routes to.

future food labels

  • UK homes throw away 30 to 50 per cent of what we buy from supermarkets. we’re guided by best before dates on food packaging, which are kept conservative. An invention called ‘Bump Mark’ could change all that. It was developed for blind people, it’s a label that starts out smooth when you touch it but gets bumpier as food decays. And since it decays at the same rate as any protein-based food within, it’s far more accurate than printed dates.

760 mph trains

  • They are system that train passengers travel at up to 760mph through a vacuum tube, propelled by compressed air and induction motors. They are starting test runs in two years. Once built the loop will ferry passengers between San Francisco and LA in 35 minutes compared to 7.5 hours by train.

future robots

  • Robots have been around for a long time but only now they are becoming more involved with human life. They are being made to look and be like humans.
