Linear Equation

Independent Variable
A variable that can not be changed it stands alone and is independent.
Slope
The ratio of vertical change to corresponding horizontal change.
Point Slope Form
An equation that reveals the slope and a point of a line.y-y1=m(x-x1)
Slope Intercept Form
Y=mx+b
Vertical Line Test
- A test if any function while graphed is placed with a vertical line and the line passes at least two points then it is not a vertical line.
X-Intercept
A point in which the line crossed the X axis.
Y-Intercept
A point at which the line crosses the y-axis.
