FACTS

• Fragile x syndrome is the most common form of mental defects
• It's caused by changed in the X chromosome
• Males and females can be carriers

People with Fragile X are more susceptible to anxiety disorders

There is no cure for Fragile X, nor are there specific treatment. One may have speech therapy or some medications can help but there is really nothing.

Prenatal and DNA tests are available to see if you or the baby has Fragile X

Fragile X is really the lack of the production of a certain protein in the X chromosome
