WHERE IS THE INJURY

  • The injury occurs in the toes of the foot (phalanges)

HOW DOES THE INJURY OCCUR/ HOW IT IS CAUSED

  • They can occur with sudden increases in training
  • fractures usually result from trauma
  • such as dropping a heavy object on your foot, or from a twisting injury.

SYMPTOMS OF INJURY

  • Pain, swelling, and sometimes bruising are the most common signs.

HOW TO HEAL OR TREAT

  • Rest is key when recovering
  • Iceing the foot
  • Wearing a boot
  • "Buddy taping" so toe has an alignementt

HOW LONG IT TAKES TO HEAL

  • It will take around 4-6 weeks to heal
