FOREST RANGER

  • A forest ranger is an officer employed by the government to supervise
  • the care and preservation of forests and especially public forests.

SKILLS

  • Need to have a practical instinct to realize vulnerable or dangerous situations.
  • Need a bachelor's degree in the biological or environmental sciences.
  • You need to be physically fit and obtain medical clearance.
  • Be able to build a shelter, start a fire, foraging for non poisonous foods,
  • evading dangerous wildlife, and night time orientation.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • If you are a forest ranger,
  • you will mostly be working
  • outside in the forest.

WORK

  • You will probably be working with other park
  • rangers so you will need to know how to
  • work with others and work as a team to
  • make sure that the park or forest is safe.
