Chinese women were the ones who bound their feel and they still bind feet in secret.

Today, Women enhance their appearance by getting plastic surgery, laser hair removal, eyelash extensions, and even dying their hair too. This is like modern day foot binding. Those women didn't find themselves pretty with normal feet just as a lot of women don't feel pretty with small lips or short eyelashes. Foot binding and enhancement methods today are very much alike.
