He decided he wanted a large business and chose flour

Machines did most of the work the employees had to mostly check the machines

Natural resources consisted mostly of wheat that they would grind and purify

Fredrick weherhaeuser was already rich and grew up in germany

HE MOVED TO MINNESOTA WHEN HE WAS 18 YEARS OLD IN 1852 HE AND HIS

Friend risked losing all their money buying a sawmill in Illinois

After the sawmill in Illinois the business grew

Henry Oliver owned a steel manufacturing company in Pittsburgh

HE WANTED TO FIND A GOOD SOURCE OF IRON BECUASE IT WAS NEEDED TO

Make steel. In 1892 he found iron in Minnesota he started to buy small iron companys

You had to know how to use a pickaxe or a steam shovel.
