What is a flipped classroom?

  • A flipped classroom is a form of blended learning. This is where the majority of the content/lecture is viewed outside of the classroom so class time can focus on discussion, problem solving, and doing practical work.

Flipped Learning is

  • Active
  • Supportive
  • Self paced
  • Flexible
  • Effective

What Flipped Learning is not

  • Just always just video lectures
  • Replacing teachers with computers
  • The same old assignment slapped online
  • Not all about tech- it is more about how the tech is used.
