Summary
School for Tom is normal until Jessica starts at his school , which leads to bullying and exclusion since Jessica was in a fire so she got burned, but Tom stands up and makes Jessica his friend. Tom is very nice, there friendship continues till Jessica moves away.

Character Reflection
In the story Firegirl, I think that the social issue is injury and exclusion. For example, Jessica gets burned because her car caught on fire. In addition, nobody wants to talk or play with Jessica based on her looks. Finally, I think that Jessica will become friends with someone.

Car- The one that Jessica got badly burned in.
Jessica- People at school get disgusted and speak of Jessica badly behind her back.
Tom- When people at the school get disgusted of Jessica he founds a unique friendship with Jessica.

WL: I envision that Jessica's face seems similar August Pullman's face in Wonder, which August suffers from many troubles that Jessica encountered at school.

LA: Just like Jeff my parents are divorced, and just like Jeff I felt bad at first.
