GPM is important and is partnered with the nozzle because firefighters need to adjust their nozzle to how many GPM so they can control the water to put out fires.

Flashover- when things heat up to a certain temp and explod.

Escape Plan- You need an escape plan so you know where to go and where your exits are in a fire.

Backdraft- when the fire doesn't have enough air, then a window or a hole opens letting air in, causes it to blow up, and burn the building even more.

Fire hydrant- stores water so when there's a fire, firefighters can use the water that's in the hydrant to put out the fire. The water comes from the water towers.

Carbon Monoxide detector- detects carbon monoxide in the air. Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless gas.

Fire extinguisher
