What is Fashion?

fashion to me is if a form of expression its a way to be your self and let the world know who you are

80/90s trends

  • shoulder pads
  • bright color
  • color block
  • fabrics
my favoret trend has to be the bright neon color and weird fabrics that came out of the 80s/90s such as sequences

but at the same time i am not a big fan of some of the weird fabrics used such as feathers i also was not a big fan the shoulder pads because from most photos that i have seen they where not used properly with most outfits

shoulder pads

Shoulder pads originally became popular for women in the 1930s when fashion designer Elsa Schiaparelli included them in her designs of 1931. The following year Joan Crawford wore them in the film "Letty Lynton" in a dress designed by costume designer, Adrian

Color blocking

Color Blocking first began with this dress by Yves St. Laurent. debuted in the Yves St. Laurent fall/winter show in 1946. it was meat with heastenice at first but soon cought on color blocking was most popular when taking group photos

Denim

There are a few clothing items and accessories that stick out as one of the definitive styles of the 1980s.

Acid wash jeans were a clothing style that originated in the early ‘80s and has roots going back to 1960s surfer culture. Originally made with chlorine and pumice stone It has connections to the punk rock movement and became a staple clothing item throughout the decade.

social media

before we get to the modern trends lets talk about the impact that social media has had on fashion i belive that social media has allowed fashion to grow by alowing trends to pop up and people to connect and express there ideas better

Today's trends

80s/90s comeback

i am all for the 80s and 90s comeback i think it bringing back some bright colors loud patters and different shapes as well as fabrics

Future Trends

i believe that we will keep pulling inspiration from are past while still coming up new trends for example we are now starting to pull inspiration from 70s culture and mixing it with are own

Conclusion

in conclusion fashion is and will forever be a big part of are world and culture and help people express who they are
