GENERAL INFORMATION

Because they sit right between landdwellers and seadwellers, lilacbloods are totally amphibious. On land, they look like a normal troll. But if they submerge in the water, they grow fins and gills. (Also when turned on, but that is another story.)
Ran lives in an underwater cave a few miles off the coast. From her cave, she has access to food and water, and she can swim without anyone seeing her.
Ran has never been to the mainland, aside from her early grub stages. She's never had to. But she has been on islands and she has found that the feeling of your toes in the sand is an agreeable one.
Ran adores puzzles. She could do them for hours; gigantic, forty thousand-piece jigsaw puzzles that take all day just to outline. It's an activity that she finds calming, especially when she's upset. She likes to imagine that each puzzle piece is a shard of her heart, and in fixing the puzzle, she's fixing herself.
Ran also likes to blow bubbles. Like her jigsaw puzzles, she finds it calming, and when she's mad or upset, she'll fill up her cave with them.
Ran loves to watch science fiction, especially if it includes romance or comedy. It makes her feel a little less lonely.
Ran has dreadful eyesight; she can barely see anything past her hand if she's not wearing her glasses. This is because of her deadly trials in the caves as a grub.
Because of her tendency to be overwhelmingly clingy, Ran's quadrants are completely barren. She has a large number of Internet acquaintances but hardly any real, close friends.
Ran's Ancestor was a balf-blind, wrinkled old troll called "Rampager Halfeyes". Rumor has it, she was also known as "the Terror of Alternia" because she was, to put it lightly, rather disagreeable.
Mindfang once challenged Duskvein to a duel. It was the only fight Mindfang ever ran away from - it lasted four hours and thirty-eight seconds, roughly.
The Crusader was once approached by the Signless. He knew of both her blood color and her ferocity, and he thought she would be invaluable to his cause. The meeting ended when she chased him with a hammer for three miles, screeching, "I moved to zhis hive to be alone, not to be pestered by some foolish grubling with delusions of grandeur!"
Ran's Dancestor, Rensca Qelter, was an amazing musician. Music was her entire life; that's how she met Cronus. She was his moirail in the few sweeps before she died.
Rensca died long before Meenah killed the other beta trolls. Ren's lusus, Raptormom, went on a rampage and killed her young charge. Cronus, in an act of payback for the murder of his moirail, killed Raptormom, thus preventing Ran from ever having a lusus of her own.
