  • He is highly critical of himself.

TO HELP STUDENT A

  • I might motivate him by asking for his help to solve problems and engage him in solving daily classroom tasks.
  • I might prevent further erosion by not pressuring small talk and giving space when it is needed.
  • I might intervene when I see emotions escalating from others or if I see him withdrawing too much.

  • When showing his faded colors he becomes rigid and critical of himself and others.
  • He has a lot of anxiety.
  • Seems depressed.

TO HELP STUDENT B

  • I might motivate him by giving him a clear defined task with a definitive end goal.
  • I might prevent further erosion by being aware of times when there is increased chaos, and not ask him to clean up other's messes.
  • I will intervene when I see him start to force others to follow the rules and start to complain.

  • When he is showing his faded colors he seems unmotivated
  • He withdraws.
  • He becomes very passive resistant.

TO HELP STUDENT C

  • I can motivate him by asking about his feelings on different situations, and then appreciating his contribution.
  • To prevent future erosion I can give him increased opportunities to express his creativity and emotions on a daily basis.
  • I will intervene when I see others teasing him or if I see him start to become depressed.
