BY: SIMONE HARRIS BLOCK: 3A

PARDON

  • A decree that frees a person from punishment for a crime. A pardon is often granted when a criminal sentence is considered unjust.
The reason I chose this picture was because it fits well into like a monopoly get out of jail card

CABINET

  • The heads of executive departments. The president appoints members of the cabinet.
I chose this picture because it’s the actual cabinet of the president at the moment

VETO

  • A constitutional right to reject a decision or proposal made by a law-making body.
I chose this picture because it’s showing the this is what the veto does, it rejects a certain law

EXECUTIVE ORDER

  • A rule or regulation issued by the president or governor that has the force of law.
This picture makes sense because it’s an executive order Trump made to force something about family immigration

EXECUTIVE PRIVILEGE

  • the privilege, claimed by the president for the executive branch of the US government, of withholding information in the public interest.
I chose this picture due to fact that it’s showing how really how the government hides some information

BUREAUCRACY

  • a system of government in which most of the important decisions are made by state officials rather than by elected representatives.
I think this shows a great example of how people in bureaucracy work

ADMINISTRATION

  • The president, along with his or her personal staff and advisers. The term can also refer to a presidents time in office.
I chose this picture because this is Ronald Reagan’s administration so it makes sense

EXECUTIVE DEPARTMENT

  • The United States federal executive departments are the principal units of the executive branch of the federal government of the United States.
This is the logo for the executive department so i thinks it’s best and most logical fit

INDEPENDENT AGENCIES

  • Independent agencies of the United States federal government are agencies that exist outside the federal executive departments (those headed by a Cabinet secretary) and the Executive Office of the President.
I chose this picture it’s one of the agencies for the Unite States Federal Government.
