GOALS

  • Defined - a level of procaine you or a standard of behavior we wish to attain within a period of time.
  • Benefits of having a goal - provides direction and purpose.
  • Provides a standard that can be used to measure progress.
  • Provides a clear understanding of where you or the organization want to accomplish.

  • Creates a behavior that is result oriented.
  • Provides a process that formalizes self evaluation and assessment.
  • Defines a destination.
  • Writing goals down adds credibility.
  • Short term goals are motivating.
  • Long term goals provide a vision.
  • Once you detail your goal you can then be strategic about meeting the goals.

  • Challenge yourself - more challenge more productivity.
  • Be positive - believe you can achieve them.
  • Start small and simple.
  • Take responsibility.

  • Defined: Values are concepts or beliefs about desirable outcomes that transcend specific situations and guide your behaviors.

Different types of values

  • Instrumental values: How we achieve goals.
  • Terminal values: Long term, a happy family life, career success, wisdom, salvation, prosperity...
  • Tangible values: thing we can feel or hold onto; car, income level, size home etc.
  • Intangible values: concepts rather than things; freedom, independence, happiness, friendship and love. Individual in nature and personal.
