I am going to be talking about my essential question which is "why are women held to a haigher standard than men" and how it relates to my source "Are Men Less Moral Than Women?" Written by Cindi May.

Moral standard; Standards of behavior and association based upon one's moral values.

It has been studied and demonstrated that men have lower moral standards than women, at least in competitive contexts. For example, it is more common for men to minimize the consequences of moral misconduct than it is for women to do so. When men use strategy to prove their manliness, they are willing to settle moral standards to assert dominance.

When it comes to gender, double standards are alive and well. It is a very common thing for people to judge mens’ and women’s behavior by different standards. For an example Having “too many” sexual partners. Men who sleep around are “studs,” but women who do the same are “sluts.”

Like God’s original design: one woman for one man. Rules out adultery, polygamy and remarriage (if not widower). Jesus understood remarriage (not of widow(er) as a form of adultery. “And He said to them, “Whoever divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery against her; and if she herself divorces her husband and marries another man, she is committing adultery” (Mark 10:11, 12).

The double standards between men and women have been a part of mankind for a very long time, and in my opinion will never change. It is important to treat everyone with equal respect and unfortunately not everyone lives by this value.
