PRESENTATION OUTLINE
The esophagus aka the food pipe is a fiber muscular tube
It's length is around 18cm 25cm long. During swallow Ing I the esophagus to back to prevent food from going down the larynx
It's function is to carry foods, liquids, and saliva from the mouth to the stomach.
It does this by using its muscles to make muscular waves of contraction called peristalsis
