What is assisted suicide

Assisted suicide/mercy killing/euthanasia is an easy or painless death,or the intentional ending of a life of a person suffering from an incurable disease at his or her request.The doctors are the ones allowed to do this and it’s done using a lethal drug .

TYPES OF EUTHANASIA

• Active-something is done to a person to make them die more quickly e.giving drugs with the intention of bringing up death.
• Passive -Any form of treatment that might extend a person’s life is withdrawn e.g life support machine is turned off,or feeding tube is removed.
• Non voluntary-Euthanasia without the consent of the patient usually because the patient is in competent, but consent is sought from members of the patient’s family.
• Involuntary-a patient wants to live but a doctor or family member declares that it would be in the person’s best interest if his or her life is ended.
