ADVANTAGES OF SOLAR ENERGY

  • Its clean
  • Renewable
  • Soler Panels for homes can lower bills.
  • Silent
  • People who live in remote areas can use it.

DISADVATGES OF SOLAR ENERGY

  • Doesn't work in the dark
  • Very expensive
  • Hard to set up
  • Fossil fuels run some panels

ADVANTAGES OF WIND ENERGY

  • Clean electricity
  • Inexhaustible
  • Come in all different sizes
  • Land under wind turbines can still be used
  • Good for people in remote areas

DISADVANTAGES OF WIND ENERGY

  • The wind doesn't always blow
  • Takes a lot of work for the electricity to travel far
  • Wind must blow steadily
  • Some people think there ugly
  • Take up land

ADVANTAGES OF FOSSIL FUELS

  • Cheapest and most reliable source of enery
  • Large supplies are available
  • Transport people
  • Makes plastic
  • Easy to find and makes efficient energy

DISADVANTAGES OF FOSSIL FUELS

  • Major problem of pollution
  • Cause of "global warming"
  • Nonrenewable
  • Ruins the earth when we drill into the ground
  • Killing wildlife's homes and killing wildlife

ADVANTAGES OF BIOMASS

  • Grasses and trees can grow
  • Renewable
  • Adds value to agriculture crops
  • Less money spent on foreign oil
  • Growing biomass crops clean the air

DISADVANTAGES OF BIOMASS

  • Cost more than fossil fuels
  • Puts out some pullution
  • Buying things needed to burn is on a shortage
  • Chemicals are released when you burn biomass
  • Biomass is hard to find

ADVANTAGES OF GEOTHERMAL ENERGY

  • Renewable
  • Saves money
  • Makes heat and electricity
  • Can be used without a spource of water
  • Reduced reliance on fossil fuels

DISADVANTAGES OF GEOTHERMAL ENERGY

  • Expensive to drill
  • Only can be drilled were theres hot water
  • Hard to get to
  • Inability to be moved
  • Hazardous materials

ADVANTAGES OF NUCLEAR POWER

  • Nuclear power produces 0 green house gases
  • Its energy is more powerful thank fossil fuels
  • Small amounts of nuclear makes large amounts of enrgy
  • Produces small amounts of waste
  • Relatively cheap

DISADVANTAGES OF NUCLEAR ENERGY

  • Produces wastes
  • Nonrenewable
  • Its highly radioactive and will stay that way for years
  • The waste has to be stored somewhere
  • Construction & safety costs lots pf money

ADVANTAGES OF HYDROPOWER

  • Renewable
  • Cheap source of energy
  • No pollution
  • Works on a very large scale
  • Supply can adapt quickly

DISADVANTAGES OF HYDROPOWER

  • Building dams will flood areas
  • Sometimes millions of people will lose their homes
  • Changes the course of rivers
  • Makes it harder for fish to swim
  • Causes mudslides
