Energy causes atoms & molecules to always be in motion they either bump in to each other or are vibrating back and forth. The motion of atoms and molecules creates a form of energy called thermal energy or heat for short
How is mechanical energy created?
Mechanical energy is energy that is possessed by a object due to its motion or its position. Mechanical energy can either be kinetic energy (energy of motion) or potential energy (stored energy of position)
