The call to adventure

•      The first call to adventure was when Jonas
• was selected to be receiver. It changed his
• life completely.

the refusal of the call

•      Jonas, after the ceremony of 12, wondered if
• he was glad that he was receiver and wondered 
• if he could handle the pain they mentioned that came
• with it. He did not directly refuse the job though.

The beginning of the adventure

•       Jonas starts his first day as receiver. The
• Giver transmits the memory of snow to 
• Jonas. It was the beginning of his training.

the road of trials

•      Jonas now understands the feeling of pain  
• and sadness the Giver has. The giver gave him
• memories of death and war and Jonas did not 
• to keep coming back but he did. He had to over-
• come the pain and sadness and he did.

unconditional Love

•      Jonas receives help,support and love from 
• the Giver. The Giver is his mentor and he cares 
• for him. The Giver said that he loved Jonas and
• supported him through bad memories.

the ultimate boon

•      Jonas leaves the community and leaves the 
• Giver behind. Jonas plans to find ''elsewhere''
• and give his memories back to the community.
• The Giver stays behind to support the people.
