  • How a stories events are arranged.
  • Includes the most important events and turns in a story.
  • "Blueprints" of a story.
  • Exposition, rising action, climax, falling action, and denouement.

CONFLICT

  • Man vs man
  • Man vs nature
  • Man vs himself
  • Man vs Society

POINT OF VIEW

  • The perception of how the story is told.
  • How the author wants the reader to view the story.
  • First person, second person, third person
  • Innocent eye, omniscient, limited omniscient
  • Objective, and stream of consciousness.

CHARACTER

  • The people or objects the story gives life to.
  • Protagonist- the main character, the story revolves around
  • Antagonist- the character who opposes the protagonist
  • Round- a character who changes throughout the story
  • Flat- a simple character who is not very well depicted
