  • Mostly China, Mexico, & western Europe
  • It is mined like smelting amd glass production.

ORIGIN..

  • Comes from Latin amd French words for "flow"
  • Michigsn became the first state to fluorite its drinking whater to prevent tooth decay.

USES IN EARLIER DAYS:

  • Some people used fluorine for carvings
  • However, it is rare to find because it is a soft stone.
  • They also used it for refrigeration.
