ENDOSKELETON

  • Echinoderms usually have Radial symmetry
  • Echinoderms have a skeleton located inside the body called endoskeleton
  • Spines poke through the echinoderm's skin

WATER PRESSURE

  • Echinoderms use a system called water pressure that helps them feed, breath and move.
  • Seawater enters the system and moves to different parts of the animal's body under pressure.
  • The system ends in the echinoderm's many tube feet, which cling to surfaces like small suction cups.
  • For some echinoderms this system is strong enough to open the shells of mollusks
