BREAKFAST DOES MANY THINGS FOR OUR BODIES.

  • In can improve our performance and ability to concentrate in school and at work.
  • Gives us a extra boost of strength and endurance during physical activity.
  • It can help lower cholesterol.
  • It will refuel your body's needs.
  • It can simply boost your mood.

POOR BREAKFAST CHOICES

  • Donuts- do not contain whole grains or fiber, too high in sugar to be beneficial initial energy that quickly wanes
  • Sugary cereal- low in nutrition and high in sugar. They are high in cirnstarch usually and will not get yout through the day
  • Fruit drinks- are typically low in fruit but high in sugar. They use preservatives and are low fiber.
  • Bacon- high in calories and saturated fats. It will quickly fill you but wil cause lethargy.
  • Instant oatmeal- the refing process takes out fiber. And flavored types are extremely sugary

IT IS EVEN MORE IMPORTANT FOR CHILDREN TO EAT BREAKFAST THAN ADULTS!

SIMPLY BECAYSE THEY ARE STILL GROWING AND DEVELOPING!

A HEALTHY BREAKFAST CONSISTS OF...

  • Protein and carbohydrates
  • Such as fruits and whole grains
  • Examples: eggs, whole grain toast
  • Strawberries, whole grain pancakes, bananas, and milk.

WE SHOULD NOT SKIP BREAKFAST

  • Skipping can...
  • Increase your chance of heart tack over a long period of time.
  • Risk of obesity because you tend to overeat at lunch if breakfast is skipped.
  • You are prone to malnutrition.
  • Likely to be lessed focused overall.
