MONGOLIAN PLATEAU
Extensive northeastern highland region of the great plateau of Central Asia
It covers an area of approximately 1,000,000 square miles in east-central Asia.
Politically, the plateau is divided between Mongolia, China and Russia.
In Russia, the plateau forms part of Buryatia and the southern Irkutsk Oblast.

GOBI DESERT
The Gobi measures over 1,000 mi. from southwest to northeast and 500 mi. from north to south.
The Gobi is a cold desert, with frost and occasionally snow occurring on its dunes.
The Gobi Desert is the source of many important fossil finds, including the first dinosaur eggs.
It is the fifth-largest desert in the world and Asia's largest.

HIMALAYAS
It is a mountain range in Asia separating the plains of the Indian subcontinent from the Tibetan Plateau.
The Himalayan range is home to the planet's highest peaks, including the highest, Mount Everest
The Himalaya are among the youngest mountain ranges on the planet and consist mostly of uplifted sedimentary and metamorphic rock.
About 50 million years ago, this fast moving Indo-Australian plate had completely closed the Tethys Ocean

EAST CHINA SEA
The East China Sea is a marginal sea east of China.
It is a part of the Pacific Ocean and covers an area of roughly 1,249,000 square km
The Yangtze River (Chang Jiang) is the largest river flowing into the East China Sea.
There is a cluster of submerged reefs in the northern East China Sea.

GRAND CANAL
It's also known as the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal
Its the longest canal or artificial river in the world
Length: 1,104 miles (1,776 km)
Its greatest height is reached in the mountains of Shandong, at a summit of 138 ft

YELLOW SEA
Its located between mainland China and the Korean Peninsula.
Area: 146,719 sq miles (380,000 km²)
Its name comes from the sand particles from Gobi Desert sand storms that turn the surface of the water golden yellow.
The area has cold, dry winters with strong northerly monsoons blowing from late November to March.
