PRESENTATION OUTLINE

BEFORE AN EARTHQUAKE

  • Make sure you have proper supplies
  • Learn first aid.
  • Make up a plan of where to meet after an earthquake
  • Don't leave heavy objects on shelves
  • Anchor heavy furniture, to the walls or floor.

DURING AN EARTHQUAKE

  • Stay calm!
  • If you're indoors, stand against a wall
  • If you're outdoors, stay in the open away from power lines
  • Don't use matches, candles, or any flame.
  • stop the car and stay inside the car until the earthquake stop

AFTER AN EARTHQUAKE

  • Check yourself and others for injuries
  • Stay out of damaged buildings.
  • Expect aftershocks
  • Check water, gas, and electric lines for damage
  • Provide first aid for anyone who needs it.
