HOW DO EARTHQUAKES HAPPEN
An earthquake happens when two plates collide
When the two plates collide they send vibration
Causing an earthquake that's vary on a scale 1 to 10
Think of it as beating on a drum when you do you get vibrations
Convection: the heat rises making the plates move

WHAT IS AT RISK
In this region we are at risk for a category 10 earthquake
This earthquake is equivalent to 15 gigatons
Also in this region after the earthquake their will be tsunami that will cause flooding
Another reason we are at risk is due to are building not being properly supported

WHAT THE EARTHQUAKE WILL BE LIKE
Their has also similar times when and earthquake looks like this one happen
A couple of examples are japan and Hattie earthquakes which we're devastating
Japan was 8.9 and better prepared and still got destroyed
Haiti was a 7.0 and not prepared and had worse results than japan
If this earthquake happens and we so far aren't and their numbers were lower just image what could happen
5.
WHAT CAN WE DO
Building and houses reinforced
Have planes and routes to get out of affected area
Supplies and safe zones for after the quake and during
Relief money to those affected by the earthquake
Make land walls to prevent over flooding
6.
AFTERMATH OF EARTHQUAKE
At least 3 months to restore full utility damage
No water, sewer service, electricity, ATMs, telephones, tv, radio, or interne
Bridges will be impassable and food will run out
"Transmission towers may topple into river, blocking ships
Fires, landslides, and explosions will happen; hydrants and sprinklers won't work
7.
WHAT CAN YOU DO
Tell your community about this
Get in touch with officials that have a voice
Have your family go over the necessity and have them ready
Start a donation center for the future relief needed later
And always be ready for it you never know when it's gonna happen
