HOW DID IT WORK

  • The Earth is a magnet that can interact with others the north end of the compass is drawn to align with the Earths magnetic field

  • An instrument used for taking angular measurements altitude in astronomy and navigation

  • A 90° arc and a string bob to determine the angle of the elevation to the sun
