SIR FRANCIS DRAKE

• Sailed for England
• Explored in 1577
• He explored what’s know Marin
• He named Marin Nova Albion
• He was remembered because he explored Marin
• He’s failure was he stopped in a Spanish harbor to stop and get supplies but the Spanish stole he’s stuff and kicked him out
• Goals is to find more land to explore

SEBASTIAN VIZCAÍNO

• Sailed for Spain
• Dates and area explored he explored the coast of California he explored from 1602 to 1603
• Goals:his goals were to name the places on the California coast it was also to find a great harbor for Spanish ships,and treasure
• Accomplishments he named a lot of the places we still use today
• He made maps that people used many years later,he made a false paper that shot other sailers off course

VITUS BERING

• Sailed for Russia he was Danish
• Date and area explored he explored in 1728 he discovered that Asia and America were not connected
• Goals were to find treasure and to find new land
• He led his exploration over 6,000 miles and reached Okhotsk on the pacific coast
• He explored places like Siberia the ocean,Asia and America
• Accomplishments:he found the Bering straight

VITUS BERING

• The expedition failed to find North America

JAMES COOK

• Sailed for England
• Accomplishments:he discovered New Zealand and Australia he was the first Englishmen to set foot in Hawaii
• Failures:he failed to find a fake sea route he also got stabbed by Hawaiian’s because he didn’t know how to swim
