  • Founded in 1206
  • King August the Strong founded Dresden
  • Dresden has faced lots of wars like the Seven Years War
  • Center of German Revolutions in 1848
  • Bombing of Dresden in Feb. of 1945

INVENTION AND GREAT BUILDINGS

  • Pharmacist Ottomar von Mayenburg in 1907
  • Produced a toothpaste called "Chlorodont"
  • The Church of Our Lady was a masterpiece
  • Unfortunately destroyed in World War II
  • Book museum of the Saxon State Library that has the Dresden Codex

  • Oldest known book to be written in the Americas
  • 1739 was when the state library got the Maya Codice
