How to divide fractions
you keep change change
Ex.. 2/3 divided by 1/3

2/3 multiplied by 3/1=6/3

Pizza..
Susie and 3 friends are sharing a large pizza. A large pizza has 12 pieces. If Susie ate 5/12 how much did her friend eat?πŸ•πŸ•

Numerator is the top number of the fractions

Denominator
The bottom number of a fraction.
Ex:2

LCM
a least common multiple is where you have number and you you divide to see the smallest numbers that go into the big one.

Gcf
Greatest common multiple is where you find the highest number that two numbers can both go into.
Ex.. 72 9 and 8

Proper fractions
A proper fraction is where the numerator is smaller then the denominator.

Improper fractions
An improper fraction is when the denominator is smaller than the numerator.

Mixed fractions
A mixed fraction is where there's a whole number with a fraction next to it.

Converting mixed numbers to improper fractions
You multiply the denominator by the whole number then add the numerator.(popcorn)
Ex.. 1 2/3= 5/3

Converting improper fractions to mixed numbers
To find it you divide the numerator by the denominator
Ex..11/4= 2 3/4

Reduce a fraction
You divide the fraction by a number that denominator and numerator are divisible by.
