Collaboration has a big role in digital learning. Students need technology skills to be able to explore, research, organize, and evaluate information in order to succeed in a technology literate society. When students collaborate with each other, they have the opportunity to actively engage themselves in discussion within small groups or pairs. This would allow them to retain information longer than those students that work individually. Digital learning eliminates lecture time and gears towards using less paper. This allows students to be active learners rather than passive learners.
As a teacher with a digital classroom I would love to have the opportunity to help build the foundation for young 21st century learners. My goal is to make my classroom an exciting digital learning environment. My intent is that students will be eager to come in to learn and walk out ready to share and teach others.
