PRESENTATION OUTLINE
THE MOUTH GRINDS THE CAKE, WHILE ENZYMES BREAK DOWM THE CAKE ITSELF
The chewed up food travels down the esophagus and to the stomach, where the next stage of digestion takes place.
The acids in the stomach break down the food further
After being partly dissolved, the food moves into the small intestine, where the nutrients are absorbed into the blood stream.
The large intestine absorbs water and the remaining matter travels to the anus.
Food that the body doesn't need or cannot be digested is expelled through the anus.
