PRESENTATION OUTLINE

HOW DOES THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM WORK?

BY JASON AND GEORGIA.

FIRST ON OUR LITTLE TOUR IS THE MOUTH.

  • When you eat food, you need to chew
  • And when you chew you are making smaller pieces of food,
  • So then it's easier to swallow.

SECOND AND THIRD IS THE OESOPHAGUS, STOMACH AND THE LIVER.

  • The OESOPHAGUS is a long tube that breaks down food from the mouth,
  • It sucks the food down the long pipe and then it falls right into the stomach.
  • And when the food is in the stomach, it gets digested with stomach acid.

NEXT UP IS THE SMALL AND LARGE INTESTANT.

  • First the watery food from the stomach goes through the small intestant,
  • The further the water goes the dryer it gets,
  • Next the water turns thicker and goes through the large intestant.

FINALLY WE GO THROUGH THE ANUS.

  • The food travails and goes out the anus (bum).
  • And then it comes out of the body completely.
