PRESENTATION OUTLINE

THE DIGESTIVE SYSTEM

BY CARTER LUCAS

Your digestive system is a very important part of your body.

It is the system that helps you poop.

First, food enters your mouth.

Next, the food passes through the pharynx and goes down the esophagus.

After that, the food goes into the stomach and starts to get digested.

Then the food travels through the small intestine where nutrients are absorbed. The small intestine has 3 parts.

The 3 parts of the small intestine are the duodenum, the jejunum, and the ilium. The small intestine is also the longest organ in the digestive system!

After the small intestine, your food (or what's left of it) goes into the large intestine. The large intestine finishes up the digestion process.

Lastly, your food passes through your rectum and out of your anus as poop! Hooray, you did it!
