MOUTH

IS LIKE A POOL
The mouth breaks down food and uses saliva to break down food. Pools break down germs.

THROAT

IS LIKE A WATER SLIDE
The throat/esophagus carries food down to the stomach, using peristalsis. Slides carry down people.

STOMACH

IS LIKE A HOT TUB
The stomach is very hot because of the internal body temperature and hot tubs are very hot. The stomach also makes the food into mush. A hot tub makes people prune like. The stomach uses chemical and mechanical digestion.

SMALL INTESTINES

IS LIKE A WATER VACCUM
The small intestines sucks all of the nutrients out, with the help of villi, the liver, the gallbladder, and the pancreas. A water vacuum sucks things too.

LARGE INTESTINES

IS LIKE A DRAIN
The large intestine takes all of the water out. A drain takes out water from a sink or a shower.

RECTUM

IS LIKE A STORAGE CLOSET
The rectum hold the digested food until it is ready to leave to body. A storage closet holds the supplies until they are ready to be used.
