HANGING

Hanging is the suspension of a person by a ligature, was common method of capital punishment since the medieval times, and is the official execution method in many countries and regions today.

CRUCIFIXATION

Is a method of deliberately slow and painful execution in which the condemned person is nailed or tied to a large wooden cross and left until dead. Was abolished after the death of Jesus Christ.

GAS CHAMBER

Death by an apparatus (the gas chamber) into which poisonous or asphyiant gas is introduced as a method of execution

PRISON

Serving a specified amount of time in confinement for committing crimes. Time to be served is based of the crime and the severity of it. Can also be sentenced to life in prison.

ELECTROCUTION

Electric Chair method where the condemned person is strapped to a specially built chair and electrocuted through electrodes placed on the body and head.

STONING

The condemned is pummeled by stones thrown by a group of people with the totality of the injuries suffered leading to eventual death.

FIRING SQUAD

Particularly common in the military and in times of war. Group of military men or law enforcement officers fire upon the condemned until the prosecuted is dead. Usually kills the condemned relatively fast.
