vertebrates??

  • vertebrate: animal that has backbone and skeleton. Including humans
  • the backbone of the animal protects spinal coid.
  • the skull protects their brain, which tend to be large.

  • invertebrate: animal without backbone. Including fruit flies and sea sponges.

what makes them difference??

Invertebrates:
1) Small and slow moving
2) Multicellular, no backbone, no cell walls, reproduce sexually.
3) Are broken down into 8 catagorise
4) 98% of animals species are invertebrates
5) there are about 2 million different kinds of invertebrates

Vertebrates:
1) 2% species of animals are vertebrate.
2) Animal with internal skeleton
3) They are only 57,739 different kind of vertebrates.
4) Have backbones and skull
5) Vertebrates are big in size
