Diego Rivera was born December 8th, 1886. His love for art was apparent from a young age, and he studied art at the San Carlos Academy of Fine Arts in Mexico City.
Diego Rivera married fellow artist Frita Kahlo in 1929. That was already his third marriage, and he had several children with the past wives. When Frita died in 1954, Diego married his art dealer within the year.
Diego Rivera's most well-known works are controversial murals heavily influenced by political issues. His works incorporated abstract impressionism and cubism ideas.
