Diego Rivera was born in Guanajuato on December 8, 1886. Diego had a twin brother named Carlos, who died two years after they were born.

He began drawing at the age of three, He got caught drawing on the walls. His parents, rather than punishing him, put chalkboards and canvas on the walls.

When he grew up, he married Angelina Beloff in 1911, and she gave birth to a son, Diego in the years of 1916 to 1918

From the age of ten, Rivera studied art at the Academy of San Carlos in Mexico City. He was sponsored to continue study in Europe by the governor of the State of Veracruz.

After arrival in Europe in 1907, Rivera initially went to study in Madrid, Spain, and from there went to Paris, France, to live and work with the great gathering of artists.

From 1913 to 1917, Rivera enthusiastically embraced this new school of art. His paintings began to attract attention, and he was able to put them up at lots of exhibits.

Diego Rivera died on November 24, 1957.
