SYMPTOMS: AT LEAST 5 PRESENT NEARLY EVERYDAY
- Feeling sad, down or “empty”
- Losing interest in daily activities that were once a source of pleasure for more than two weeks
- Feeling hopeless, worthless or helpless
- Changes in appetite, and losing or gaining weight (5%) unintentionally
- Sleeping poorly (insomnia) or oversleeping (hypersomnia)

- Having persistent feelings of guilt or worthlessness
- Having trouble in thinking, concentrating or making decisions
- Impaired function: social, occupational
- Having thoughts of suicide (Get help immediately)
- Decreased interest or pleasure in most activities
