VOLUME (REGULAR SOLID)

  • First you need to measure the length, width, and hight.
  • Next multiply the measurements you just found.
  • Finally add your label which would be cm3 (centimeter cubed)

VOLUME (IRREGULAR SOLID)

  • First get graduated cylinder to find the water displacement
  • Next you add the water into the graduated cylinder to the measurement you like
  • After that, carefully slide your object into the cylinder so the water does'nt splash
  • Finally, find the differnce of the two measurements to get your irregular volume

MASS

  • To find mass, use a triple beam balance
  • First, make sure the pointer is at the zero line
  • Then carefully place the obeject you are measuring onto the pan
  • Then, going from greatest to least, move the riders forward until the pointer is at the zero line
  • Finally, add all of the riders to get your mass (there will most comonly be a decimal)

DENSITY

  • To get the density you must use an equation
  • The equation is mass/volume = density
  • (M/V=D)
