139 wrongly convicted people on death row have been exonerated.
Wealthy defendants who pay for great lawyers will almost never be executed.
The death penalty is very expensive so innocent people don't get executed.

He believes it is unjust.
Also thinks it's unfair for the person to be killed for wrong actions.
The catholics used to be okay with the death penalty before Pope John Paul II.
