David Hockney was born July 9, 1937 in Bradford, in Yorkshire, England.
He studied at Bradford School of Art from 1953 to 1957.
His influences were Jean Dubuffet and Pablo Picasso
He was lithographer and was best known for his work in Myself and My Heroes
By the time he was 11 Hockney had already decided to become an artist.
In 1966 he met native Californian Peter Schlesinger
