HOW IT STARTED

• In 1980,Mike Richardson opened a comic book store with a $2000 creditcard.
• His book store was called Pegasus Books
• Pegasus Books was opened in the small resort town of Bend, Oregon.
• Richardson soon became frustrated with the quality of the books he sold

HOW THEY GAINED FAME

• Dark Horse treated writers an authors as partners which was uncommon then.
• Soon the industries top creators where racing to get involved . 
• In 1988, they revolutionized comics based on popular films.
• The launch of Star Wars solidified their domination of movie based comics.

Making Millions

• They took a different approach by using top talent for sequel comics to fil
• The fresh approach was great, and sails with popular titles made millions 
• Dark Horse introduced Domo Quee (a Japanese product)  to the U.S. and made
