the history of dance

  • dance is kind of an untraceable sport, it doesn't leave behind and thing, besides in people's minds. in the early dance days , dance was like a ritual, or tradition, or a type of celebration. it was used as a form of social interaction. during the mid dance times, it was more slow dancing, like ballet and contemporary. even ball room dancing . the faster stuff didn't come until the later years, including tango, salsa, disco, hip-hop, mainly all the dances now a days.

is dance a sport?

  • there's always been the question of whether dance is a sport or not, and the answer is yes. it is a sport, it requires all the components of fitness. especially flexibility, cardiovascular endurance, strength, if people experienced one week of dance , they would be wiped out, especially the people who say dance isn't a sport.
